High Build Epoxy is a two part, durable 100% solids protective epoxy resin floor coating for concrete. It provides a high gloss, easy to clean surface and is resistant to very heavy wear, oils and solvents.
With High Build Epoxy, only one coat is usually required, except on very porous surfaces which should be treated first with 4-Hour Epoxy Primer. High Build Epoxy is ideal for areas such as: showrooms, warehouses, heavy traffic areas where chemicals may be spilled, production areas and any area where increased durability and high quality finish are important.

- Preparation & Application
Surface Preparation: The concrete surface must be clean, dry and free of loose material. New concrete should be allowed to cure for 28 days prior to coating. Remove oil, dirt, grease and other chemical contaminants by cleaning with detergent or other suitable cleaner. Rinse thoroughly. Use Cemtetch® to remove unsound laitance and create a proper surface profile to the concrete. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry. NOTE: Concrete that has a sealer or curing agent on it may not respond to the Cemtetch treatment. It may be necessary to remove the sealer and create a surface profile by a mechanical method.
Primer: Use 4-Hour Epoxy Primer on very porous surfaces or Powerfloat Primer on hard, smooth surfaces or powerfloated floors.
Mixing: Store materials at 60°F for 8 hours prior to use. Combine the base and activator components. Use a paint paddle or spatula to scrape out and transfer as much of the material as possible. Mix the components thoroughly until an even, uniform color is achieved. If using a power mixer use a paint paddle or spatula to blend in any unmixed material from the sides and bottom of the pail. Do not mix more than one unit at a time. Immediately pour the material into a roller pan and do not delay application. The mixed components should be used immediately. The product has a pot life of one hour maximum at 60°F. Higher ambient temperatures will reduce the pot life. To extend pot life in higher temperatures the mixed components should be emptied into a shallow tray.
Application: Best results are obtained in warm conditions, (minimum 60°F). On horizontal surfaces apply by 3/8" nap roller in one coat. On vertical surfaces two thin coats are recommended. The second coat should be applied within 24 hours.
Curing Time: The product will cure overnight (12-16 hours) at 60°F to accept light traffic the next day; full chemical and wear resistance is achieved over 7 days (at a minimum constant temperature of 60°F). Temperatures of 50°F will slow down or arrest the curing of the product. Water should not be allowed to lie on the surface for at least 7 days. Avoid washing the surface for 7 days after coating.
Coverage: A gallon kit will cover approximately 160 sq. ft. when applied by roller. Brush application may result in reduced coverage.
